As a lifelong enthusiast of electronic music, my journey began over 35 years ago, deep in the heart of the house music revolution. My passion for vinyl records shaped my identity as a DJ and producer, taking me around the globe to share my love for sound.

As a lifelong enthusiast of electronic music, my journey began over 35 years ago, deep in the heart of the house music revolution. My passion for vinyl records shaped my identity as a DJ and producer, taking me around the globe to share my love for sound.
Throughout my career, I've witnessed the evolution of electronic music and the unique connection that vinyl records create between artists and listeners. This deep appreciation for the analog format has fueled my desire to open this new record store, where I can share my knowledge and passion with fellow music lovers.
Carlos’s Background:
Carlos has been involved with the music industry since 1992, when he started in the world of DJing and vinyl (being the format he has played the most over the years and which has led him to have a vast record collection in his studio). In 1993, he began performing his first events as a mobile DJ. It was in 1995 when he made his professional debut as a resident DJ at the acclaimed Club Space in Punta del Este (Uruguay, when he was only 17 years old). He hasn't stopped since then. Between 1999 and 2004, he worked as a curator/buyer at Cashbox (Uruguayan records store) and executive producer and dj of Power Dance #1 dance music radio show in Uruguay until 2012, he was producing and djing under his alias “Southmen” releasing music in the most important underground house labels of the moment, such as AZULI Records and YOSHITOSHI (owned by legendary duo Deep Dish), also producing his own VA compilation album for Sony Music Latam.
During several years Southmen was nominated as one of top South American DJs in the House/progressive House scene by DJ Mag
Starting in 2017, he rebooted, changing his sound under the new alias "SOLARC," with which he continues to work nowadays and with which he has released music on the most important and best-selling labels of the moment including: Toolroom Records, Crosstown Rebels, Glasgow Underground, Viva Music, Global Underground, and Nervous Records (among others). He has also received support from the most important DJs and producers of this generation, such as Mark Knight, Damian Lazarus, Steve Lawler, Danny Tenaglia, Roger Sanchez, and many others big names.
HIS TALENT AND PASSION FOR MUSIC HAVE ALREADY PROVIDED HIM WITH A SERIES OF GREAT PERFORMANCES AT MAJOR CLUBS AND FESTIVALS AROUND THE WORLD.
